For children ages 3 years - 5 years (must be potty-trained) at the WEC preschool location and grades K-5 at all local public elementary schools.KidSpace is a place where each child is a cherished and unique member of the team. Our focus is to offer a place where children will have fun, be challenged, build relationships, and feel a sense of belonging while fostering a sense of self. Our goal is to build a strong community through our children.They are offered choices that promote their social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth through activities in art, music, science, recreation, language arts/reading, games, technology, creative dramatics, homework assistance, and quiet time. Every site provides daily reading time and homework assistance during the school year.KidSpace is a fee based program that is sustained by families tuition payments. No school district funds are used to support the KidSpace program.We aim to offer parents/guardians who work or go to school a caring, safe, supervised, recreational, and enriching environment for their school-aged children. Waconia Soccer ClubSoccerWaconia Soccer Club offers Travelling/Competitive soccer for players who have the desire to achieve a high level of skill and competition. Participating in the Twin Cities Soccer League (TCSL), players train and/or play in multiple dates per week and for competitions travel to other club facilities around the twin cities based on league placement and team skill level. The League is sanctioned by US Club Soccer and US Soccer Federation. Players can register for one of three options: Fall League: Age Groups U-9 through U-14. Season Dates: Mid August - Mid OctoberSummer League: Age Groups U-9 through U-19. Season Dates: Mid March - Early JulyYear Round: Age Groups U-9 through U-14. Mid August - Early July *Winter Training: Summer League and Year Round age groups participate in winter training once per week at the Chaska Dome - November through February, typically Saturday afternoons or early Sunday mornings.**Note: U-15 through U-19 age levels are not available in the Fall as those athletes participate in High School Soccer**Players must attend tryouts in order to be eligible to be placed on a team. Attending a tryout does not guarantee placement as this is a competitive program and cuts are possible dependent on registration numbers. Players who are placed on a team will receive a link to order a uniform kit required to play for the Waconia Soccer Club. The uniform kit includes two shirts (black shirt for home games, aquamarine shirt for away games, 2 pairs of black shorts, 1 pair of black socks, 1 pair of aquamarine socks). Numbers for the uniforms are pre-assigned and cannot be changed.The club operates on a two year uniform cycle through a partnership with Soccer.com and Nike Soccer. After the initial purchase, families are only required to purchase a new uniform if the player outgrows their current uniform.
