Discovery Time for 2year olds

Heather Carlson has been teaching in District 110’s Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program for 18 years. She holds a Minnesota Teaching License in Early Childhood and loves creating safe, joyful classrooms where little learners can thrive.

Heather believes in the power of play-based learning to help kids build early literacy, curiosity, and social skills. For Heather, the best part of teaching is watching children discover how fun learning can be alongside their families. Outside of school, she loves spending time with her own family and can’t wait to team up with parents for a wonderful school year ahead!

Lauren McQuillan is a parent and family educator primarily working with infants and young toddlers.  Lauren started her career as an elementary teacher, earning a masters degree in elementary education, licensed for K-8 education.  After having her son and twin girls, she was a stay at home mom and attended Waconia ECFE with her own children.  Now a licensed Parent Educator, Lauren has a unique perspective, embedded in this community she calls home.  In her free time, Lauren loves to travel, garden and spend time with her husband and three teenagers. You'll find her cheering her children on at a court, soccer field or track in the evenings and on weekends!

Christine Pedretti is a licensed Parent Educator with 23 years of history working with families in the Waconia 110 school district. Whether facilitating group discussions, presenting to groups on specific parenting topics or coaching parents and teachers through challenges in a one on one setting, Christine feels it is a privilege to support families of our district. After school is done for the day you might find her teaching Yoga, Pilates or Aerial dance class to adults or children, but she is never too busy to spend time enjoying her husband, 3 grown children and 2 young grandchildren.
